Churchill Cup International Rugby
Colorado has officially been announced as the home of the Churchill Cup – the biggest international rugby tournament in North America.
In a partnership between the Metro Denver Sports Commission and the Churchill Cup Alliance of USA Rugby, Rugby Canada and the English Rugby Football Union, the event will be staged in the state of Colorado.
This year will see the U.S. Eagles, Canada, England Saxons, Ireland A, Argentina and Georgia play double headers at Infinity Park, in Glendale, Colo., on June 6, 10 and 14, before a bumper triple-header finals day at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park – the home of Colorado Rapids Major League Soccer side – on Sunday, June 21.
Georgia replace Scotland A from last year’s tournament, won by England Saxons in the final at Toyota Park, Chicago.
